For the Office-Supply Lovers…
This lap desk is one of my favorite tools to use when working from home. I hate using the touch pad on my laptop and prefer using a Bluetooth mouse. That’s hard to do on the couch next to the fire! This lap desk not only lets me use a mouse but also has a place for my phone. I’ve even caught my husband using it :)
PS - It comes in other colors!
I found this set of pens while browsing through HomeGoods and fell in love. They’re chic and write beautifully. Life is too short to use crappy pens!
Anyone on your list a paper-planner type of girl?
I love this planner because it is simple and beautiful. Inside, there’s monthly and weekly calendars with enough space to write out each day’s tasks, but no excessive, over-the-top pages that I’ll never get around to using.
There’s something about sending beautiful, hand-written notes to the people you love. Graphique is my favorite stationary brand. Their note cards are high-quality paper with gold embossed details. I love the champagne flutes pictured here, but there are several other designs to choose from!
Today’s world of work involves a lot of zoom meetings. I love this light because it illuminates my face during these meetings, eliminating harsh, unflattering shadows. Ring lights can be clunky and don’t always fit on the desk. This one has a small footprint and can sit seamlessly behind your monitor.
I know this would be a splurge kind of gift, but my iPad is my favorite tool I’ve added to my office supplies this year. This iPad is the same size as a notebook and when used with the Apple Pen (see below) can replace the need for paper notebooks or printing out PDFs. I’ve even started using it for my digital planner and grocery lists!
When used in conjunction with the iPad Pro (see above), this pen eliminates the need for paper notebooks, planners, or printouts. I’ve found that writing with this pen on my iPad feels very similar to writing with a regular pen. The precision is great (nothing like the blunt rubber stylus I used to have) and I cannot recommend this enough!

For the Self-Caregivers…
My daughter sleeps hard. Like, I’m pretty sure we could host an entire circus in the living room and it wouldn’t phase her a bit (I’m a little jealous). Because of this and the fact that she has waist-length wavy hair, we struggle with some serious bedhead in the mornings (picture Anna from Frozen). Using a satin pillowcase has helped so much! Not only is her hair less tangled but it’s also much silkier. I’ve started using one too and love the effects it’s had on my hair health.
This would make a great gift for women and girls of all ages!
You’ve probably seen these heat-less curlers all over Instagram, but let me just say… they are worth the hype! My daughter and I love to wear our hair curly but I am not interested in wasting time curling it every single morning. These curlers work while you sleep (the BEST kind of multitasking). Another gift that would work for women and girls of all ages!
PS - These probably work best for hair that already has a slight wave to it.
PSS - Don’t wrap your hair until it’s practically dry. Better yet, blow-dry your hair 90% and then wrap while your hair is still warm.
This one-step styler has replaced my traditional hair-dryer. With this tool you can give yourself a blow-out in under 15 minutes without the need for a straighter. I like that after I’m done drying, I can just run out the door!
As I’ve gotten older, skincare has become more and more important to me. The fact that I can spend a few minutes each day to ensure I have healthy skin and fewer wrinkles as I age is pretty motivating! I love most of Arbonne’s products because they use high-quality ingredients that actually absorb into my skin. This combo of vitamin c concentrate and glow cream moisturizer (which feels like butter) has been my go-to for the past year. Highly recommend to anyone looking to up their skincare game!
You know I’m a big fan of keeping things simple and this makeup has simplified my morning routine significantly. It now takes me less than 5 minutes to do my makeup and that includes contour, highlight, and blush. This makeup is truly beautiful too. Not sure about which colors to pick? My friend, Mandy, can color match you or the person you’re buying gifts for - all you have to do is send her a selfie. This is hands-down my favorite makeup!
PS - The eye shadows and lip glosses would make fun stocking stuffers!

For the Wanderers…
A few years ago, I upgraded my suitcase to a hard-shell Samsonite carry-on and I’ve never looked back. I feel so chic gliding through the airport! The one featured here is not the exact suitcase that I have, but is very similar. In fact, I plan to gift this one to my daughter this Christmas for our big trip next summer!
PS - There are other colors available!
Cars, trains, and automobiles can be loud but they don’t have to be. These earplugs are lifesavers for those of us who are easily over-stimulated. They cut out all the background noise but still allow you to engage in conversation with the people near you. I carry my set around in my purse and have used them on the airplane, at Baylor basketball games, and even just to wear around the house (kids are loud). Every introvert would appreciate this gift!
PS - They come with a variety of sizes and go small enough for kids too. My son (a fellow introvert) loves them!
This one is a wish-list item for myself. I’ve had a Kindle Paperwhite, but after 20 years it has finally died. There are so many things I love about the Paperwhite… First, you can literally carry around a library worth of books in your purse. This means no matter where you go, you’ll have something to read. Second, it reads like a book in that there’s no screen that’s hard on your eyes or impossible to see while lounging by the pool. This would make a great gift for those travelers who love to read!
PS - Amazon Prime members also have access to a library of Kindle books for free.
PSS - If your local library offers e-books through the Libby app, you can read those on your Kindle too!
Part of traveling in style is showing up to your destination well-rested. I love carrying an eye mask like this one in my purse so that I can easily block out any light when I’m on the plane. When paired with the ear plugs mentioned above, the result is glorious!
We are planning a big trip this summer and I am planning to stick an eye mask in each of the kids’ stockings.
If you’re going to wander, you might as well track those steps! This is another wish-list item as my old Fitbit recently died. I love the way this one looks more like jewelry than a fitness tracker.

For the Avid Readers…
I feel like there’s a correlation between loving to read and enjoying pretty mugs to sip hot beverages from… If you’re buying a gift for an avid reader, consider a cute book-inspired mug like this one. Who knows? If you do some digging you might be able to find one with their favorite book on it!
What’s cozier than lighting a candle and curling up with a good book?
Lighting a candle that smells like a library!
While I don’t have this exact one, I do have a library-scented candle and have been savoring it for the past few months. As an avid reader myself, I can attest to the fact that the readers on your list would enjoy this gift!
Us readers love to surround ourselves with books. Elevate the experience even more by gifting them with beautiful copies of their favorite books. The one featured here is the complete Jane Austen collection. If the person on your list is not an Austen fan, you could search for beautiful, unique, or illustrated copies of their favorite books!

For Him…
I wish I could take credit for this one, but my husband actually bought this wallet for himself. He was tired of sitting on a big lump. This wallet is sleek and will slide into the front pocket of his jeans. They come in different colors with different features (i.e., with or without the finger loop or money band). The button on the side pushes your cards up out of the wallet so you can grab the one you need. He liked it so much he convinced my dad to get one too. Needless to say, we’re big fans and I think the guys in your life will be too!
These are one of those gifts that my husband didn’t know he wanted until after he got it. Now, he wears his slippers every evening in the winter. These aren’t the exact ones I bought him, but they’re close. There are a few things I like about this pair. First, the rubber sole means he can walk outside to take the trash out without having to worry about ruining his slippers. Second, since they are made of leather and wool, both natural materials, these slippers don’t get unbearably stinky like synthetic ones would.
PS - They come in different colors and styles!
If your household is anything like ours, there’s always music, audiobooks, and podcasts playing. Last Christmas, I bought this speaker for my husband but honestly, the entire family has enjoyed using it. It’s small, sleek, and has great audio quality.
The best part?
It’s wireless and connects via Bluetooth which means we can take it anywhere in (and out of) the house.

For the Kids…
For reference, I have two kids - an eight-year-old son and a five-year-old daughter. These are some of the things that we have loved over the last few years. For the most part, I think kids of all ages would enjoy something on this list.
This is the first of a very beautifully illustrated series. Claris is a sweet little mouse who dreams of going to Paris and designing haute couture. The books are written and illustrated by Megan Hess, who is fashion illustrator and has worked with brands like Dior, Prada, and Cartier. My daughter loves all things fancy and these books with their metallic gold covers and gorgeous dresses does the trick. I highly recommend them for any pink-loving, fancy girl on your list!
My daughter has asked for a new princess dress every Christmas and birthday since she was two. Needless to say, we’ve tried a lot of them! In our house there are three determining factors of a good dress-up dress. 1) No glitter - we do not want the entire house covered in glitter every time she decides to play. 2) Comfortable - the dress needs to be lined with a soft fabric so that she actually enjoys wearing it. 3) Twirling factor - the dress needs to be poofy enough that she feels just like Cinderella at the ball.
We have four of these dresses (Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel, and Tiana) and have loved each one of them. I think any little princess would be happy with this gift!
High-heels are also a staple at our house. I love these because they come in several colors, the glitter doesn’t fall off all over the place, and the “buckle” is actually a hook that my daughter can do by herself. We’ve outgrown our gold heels and I plan to gift her another pair of these again this year!
I bought these noise-cancelling headphones for my kids last year before we took a trip on an airplane. They come in other colors (I bought my son the black ones) and with the active noise-cancelling function they allow the kids to actually hear the audiobook they are listening to even in loud places (like an airplane). I love the hard-shell case that comes with them and the fact that they can be use with Bluetooth or a wire.
These drawing pads are so fun! We are a screen-free family, so I was excited to find these low-tech toys to entertain the kids during a 15-hour road trip. They come with a stylus that lets the kids draw whatever they want on the black screen and it appears as rainbow. Then when they’re done, they just hit the button and the whole screen resets itself. This is a two-pack, so an easy way to check two people off your list!
The Wingfeather Saga is such a wonderful series for the little reader on your list. It’s an adventure story about an entire family. My husband, son, and I have all read and enjoyed this series. The reading level is probably for 8 years and older.
We are a LEGO family! In fact, if you were wondering why there weren’t more toys on this list for boys, it’s because my son has only asked for LEGOs for the last 5 years. I chose this set to feature here because it’s a simpler one and is a family home that most kids would enjoy. That being said, if the kid on your list has specific interests (e.g., space, Harry Potter, dinosaurs, princesses, etc.) there is probably a LEGO set for it! Having watched my son build LEGOs for the last 5 years, I’m convinced these are some of the best toys to foster creativity, fine motor skills, persistence, and problem-solving.
PS - Be sure to pay attention to the difficulty level of the set as they can vary from 4+ to 18+.
Finally, why not gift a game the whole family would love? Carcassonne is a game simple enough that kids (6+) can play it but strategic enough that adults can enjoy it too. Essentially you take tiles with pictures of cities, roads, and fields and build a map together, claiming your property as you go. There’s several expansion packs. In fact, I even have a map of France that we can play the game on.
Not your thing?
Some of our other favorite games include Uno, Monopoly Deal, and Catan.
