Luxury can be defined as “the state of great comfort and extravagant living.” We often assume that the terms “luxury” and “extravagance” are synonymous with “expensive.” But that is simply not the case. In today’s episode I’m going to share 20 simple, inexpensive ways to add luxury to your daily life. Like the definition said, luxury is the “state of extravagant living” and I want each one of you fully embracing the life you’ve been given, living it fully and even extravagantly.

You may be wondering what in the world this has to do with work-life balance. And I’ll answer by asking you a question… Why do you want work-life balance? It’s probably not because you want amazing scheduling skills or the perfect morning routines. No, you want work-life balance because you want to lead a life that you love. When work sucks too much of our time, energy, and focus, we feel as though we are missing out on what life has to offer, which is precisely why we strive for work-life balance. We want to put work back in its place. Yes, your work can be enjoyable and meaningful but it’s not the only part of your life. You’re so much more multi-faceted than that! By adding luxury to our daily lives, we can elevate our experiences in each of the roles we play. Making life more fun!

I teach this exact framework inside the Elegant Balance Academy. In my opinion, it’s not enough to simply cut out the things that aren’t working for us with regards to our work-life balance. You and I are not women that settle for the status-quo. No, we take it one step further by elevating our daily experiences. Creating lives of simplicity, beauty, and joy one small step at a time.
